I believe that health is a lifelong pursuit and is impossible to do alone. My goal as a therapist is to help people see their intrinsic ability to heal themselves and their families. I am a systems therapist who looks at the entire family and all who impacts the individual. By working with as much of the system as possible it allows for long term healing and support to sustain health. Good health incorporates a balance of mind body and spirit. I have 10 years of experience working with children, family, and couples to achieve better mental health.
In order to effectively help families and individuals achieve better health I use many therapeutic styles. While working with children I incorporate Play Therapy, Parent-Child Interactive Therapy, Parent-Child Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy. I also am experienced in working with those effected by trauma and am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I enjoy working with couples using Emotion Focused Therapy.
My approach to therapy is experiential by nature. I enjoy helping families improve child behavior to decrease family stress. I also help parents understand their stressors and give them the tools to create a better environment to help themselves and their children thrive.
