ALLISON LANDES-STORDAHL

THERAPIST

MA, LMFTA

Education & Experience
I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California since 2001. I have a Bachelors degree in psychology and graduated in 1996 from graduate school with a Masters in Marriage, Family and Children counseling from Chapman University. I have been blessed to have worked in many different work environments including hospitals, schools, residential living facilities, community clinics and private practice. I have taught at the graduate level as well as been a clinical supervisor for twelve years. In 2016 my family was relocated to the beautiful PNW and I am currently in the process of starting my private practice business again, as well as the licensing process for the state of Washington.

Throughout the years I have worked with clients from all backgrounds, for a variety of presenting concerns. I work with clients who want to address depression, crisis / self harm, anxiety, family dynamics, LGBTQ awareness, stress, parenting, addiction, communication, mindfulness and a range of other topics. I work with teens, parents, couples, individuals, and groups.

Theory
I believe that all people have the capacity within them to reach their full potential and be relieved of current symptoms. This belief allows me to work with a client centered orientation, meet the client where they are and help them develop new thinking and behavioral changes to empower them and increase their daily functioning. I believe in the relationship that therapy can provide and help clients gain trust and awareness regarding current patterns and help them shift their awareness and behavior to meet their current goals.

I am blessed to do the work I do and I look forward to meeting you along your jouney.
